Silliness



The power was erratic last week and life was getting darker by the minute. Jibber jabber was a constant, along with some of these PJ’s (aka poor jokes) I randomly coined. The family giggled a bit initially until they ordered me to shut the xxxx up. Licking my ‘wounds’ I sat quietly in the corner - I really felt for Jack at that moment! :-)

Here are a couple of silly PJ’s that I hope will put a smile on your faces, my darlings..

Q. What did vertigo say to blood pressure?
A. They sure have you riled - I like the spin.

Q. What do you do if someone bitches about you?
A. Let them be coz their barks are worse than the bite.

Q. What did the actor say to the fan?
A. Let’s start a fan club.

Q. What did one password say to another?
A. Run… they are trying to change us.

Q. What did May say to June?
A. Be careful July is around the corner!

Q. What did the iron say to the board?
A. Where are the clothes, stupid?

Q. What did one pipe say to another?
A. Get over that pipe dream.

Q. What did the calendar say to the alarm?
A. Let’s fix a date and time.

Q. What did the tablet say to the laptop?
A. Size doesn’t matter.

Q. What did the pill say to the tablet?
A. Hope the techies find a solution for me too!

Q. What did the mole say to the zit?
A. Be careful you are gonna get zapped!

Q. What did the sun say to the moon?
A. Stop mooning over those stars.

Q. What did the roof say to the floor?
A. You floor me!

Q. What did the book say to the paper?
A. Without you, I am lost!

Q. What did the lashes say to the eyes?
A. You complete me!

Q. What did the fixed loan say to the floating one?
A. I hate these floaters!

Q. What did the plastic packet say to the brown paper packet?
A. I have made my mark, beat that sucker!
Q. What did the brown paper packet say to that?
A. You are on the way to becoming extinct.
Q. What did plastic say?
A. Gonna go biodegradable.
Q. And the brown paper packet said?
A. Get outta my zone… I set the standard here.

Just some silliness to get you to smile or sigh with annoyed amused irritation - anything that gets you out of the same old same old!

Why do people throw good relationships for a quick roll in the hay? This practice seems to be growing and practically every second person in a committed relationship doesn’t think twice about two timing his/her partner. However, when they are “found out” these individuals don’t think twice about promising the moon and once forgiven you can be pretty sure that they are gonna do (sic) the deed again and again. I think that once they go the entire hog, they just aren’t gonna curb their enthusiasm! Cheaters know their partners will relent no matter what. They preen themselves with having “won”! Water Woe

Here’s a problem about the water scene that’s plaguing our city with the authorities taking a lackadaisical attitude about our woeful situation. Guess privatization of this inactive force needs to be the hour of the day. What say? The heat at this time of the year in Feb is rather pinching and I really wonder what it’s gonna be like in the coming months. Here’s hoping that some rain will give us a breather and in consequence fill the reservoirs and enable the water man to actually attend to our ardent need. Moving on from the tale of gloom, with the onset of summer it’s time for the sleek and svelte to don the most happening items in vogue and show off their splendid bods. To the rest of us metabolically slow, we trudge the path of heat with the longing that this brand of ‘exercise’ (or lack of it) would shed the unwanted girth! Anyways, it’s a good time I guess both ways, coz everyone maybe a winner because..........the heat is on! ....... but not the ones with lack of water...

Beginning of the End?

A short story here... Just read and let me know what you think? I haven't concluded the story just going with the flow. The erratic nature of the power supply left the entire city in the lurch and this seemed to be a frequent occurrence. In spite of pleadings to curb global warming people paid no heed to the warnings and this brought about the swarm …. The beginning was when the entire country was wiped out in darkness and stampedes all over going on well into the night. Headlights of passing vehicles were the only source of light as generators were giving way because of the scarcity of fuel available. Every living being was being held hostage because of the “no power and no water” adage. No rainfall = less electricity = no water = no produce = malnutrition. The crops were in a mess, pets were getting crazed, and livestock was dropping dead by the minute. Drought was at an all time high.
