The time for reflection is here What should I do? Should I cut back on meat and sweet? Should I stop my tongue and a disdainful tweet? Should I comment on the negativity around me? Should I pray for that (negativity)? Should I give up on things that I love willingly? There are many ‘should I’s’ but not many ‘I should’ Perhaps I am caught in this Lenten mood? What is this period that has many in a flutter? It is the time to reflect on steering the course to an eternal future Mercy, penance and fasting are the key words When done with a full heart you are on the right path If wages of sin is death then I need to repent This time of reflection has a lovely scent A time to make amends come what may It began on Ash Wednesday.
