I woke up this morning with a chipper mood and a spring in my step. Got the walking gear out and started the exercise regime in full gusto enjoying the quiet solitude of the early morning. But my happiness was brought to an end by the incessant fights and squabbles around me. A couple of hours later, sitting in my quiet space, I’m so glad that I have this corner to come home to! But at the desk of thought, I wonder….. Why do we agree to disagree? We reach out to help one another but when things don’t go the way we want it to, well, we crib. What happens when acceptance is not fraught with control and love takes precedence? Perhaps then we can let the ego take a hike and enjoy the other person in spite of his/her idiosyncrasies. Man is by no means infallible. As the tenets of RET that was drilled many years ago to me - man is a fallible being.
