Pretty Picture

Went on a clicking spree a couple of days ago and had to share this with my fellow bloggers and readers. However, due credit should be awarded to the photographer who is 13 going on 30. The flowers in bloom looked amazing – I’m pretty certain you are gonna agree with me! Couldn’t help myself had to use it as my template as well! What do you think me dahlings? XoXo

Adorable Muffins

The little girl woke up one day and after watching a series of programs on telly decided to do something different. Lo and behold – here is something that the little genius whipped up in a jiffy. The lot was polished before she could come back for more! Drool on … Psst : She doesn't share recipes I'm afraid :-)

Big Fat Lies

What do you do when a person who you believe in starts a rumor or creates a lie about you that you know that you have never been a party to? Do you try and thrash it out with the person or let bygones be? Or ignore the person? Having been at the receiving end of this constant crap for a good part of my life I usually forget the nonsense and move on. Because let’s face it, a person who knows you both inside and out will never doubt you or create mindless gossip. I know of a person who was at the receiving end of a stream of crap dished her way. From the time she was young until now she has had to fend off gossip and reason out with people. At times she even felt that the people closest to her did not believe in her. What was she supposed to do or what does she do? Don a different personality and change her course or destiny because of fake immature malicious liars or brave the never ending storm? It does get rather difficult for people who are fall guys. They have been blin...

Greener Pastures

Forgiveness is what keeps a person sane. It also means that an individual has moved on from bad experiences to better pastures. In the Bible Jesus replies to Peter’s question of forgiving someone saying that he should not forgive someone seven times but seventy times seven. There are many of us who would like to multiply the numbers to even out our scores. But the heart of the matter is that we must try to forgive our neighbor irrespective of how hard it is. And it really is! I cannot preach about this good dead having been in a state of unforgiveness for years on end because of some chip or the other that I had (have?) on my shoulder. There are many who hoo and hum about this fact, but who can throw the first stone without some backlog of their own anyways, huh? Incidents come to mind about unfair practices where I have been at the receiving end. However, moving on has always been the norm primarily because trying to keep score with an old wound makes it fester. While the o...

Know Where to Go

I woke up this morning to an incessant drone of dogs barking. Glanced out of the window and saw a group of boys who looked absolutely bored, but appeared that they did not want to leave. I guess they preferred the outdoors rather than getting back home, I thought. The dogs continued their barking but stopped after a while. The boys were still there. I suppose both the animals and humans were used to each other's presence! Got me thinking, imagine how sad it is for people who have no place at home where they feel loved, wanted, needed, accepted, respected, etc. When the place that one is supposed to feel safe and carefree is not an option, what else is there to look forward to at the end of the day? A home is where the heart is – an oft repeated chant that people sprout. But when the place is just that a place, what more can one expect? Parents expect too much from their children and vice versa. Couples face a breakdown in communication because of the incessant work draw...
